- Projection: Could be easily heard
- Diction: Words easily understood and correctly pronounced
- Organization: Opening, good flow in body, concluded well
- Content: All sections of the report spoken to with emphasis
- on the important areas.
- Presence: Good posture, eye contact, hands appropriately used, presenting not reading
- Audience attention and reaction: Interesting, informative
PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Presenting in front of other classmates can be a rewarding experience for the presenter and for the audience. The following guidelines will help both the presenter and the audience get the most out of the presentation.
Presenter
TIME LIMIT: 3 – 5 minutes. Marks will be deducted if you go “over” or “under”.
BE PREPARED: True confidence can only start if you know the material that you are going to present.
INTRODUCTION: Start by introducing yourself – first and last name.
AGENDA: State what you are going to do: Example: “Today I will be sharing some information about the following career. I will describe the relevant Multiple Intelligences and then talk about my own Multiple Intelligences and how they relate to my career choices. You will then have a chance to ask questions.
FORMAT: Electronic slideshow PLUS poster.
CONCLUSION: Don’t just stop talking. Let your audience know when you are finished. You should end by relating Multiple Intelligences to your own career choices.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Ask your audience if they have any questions.
Audience
Show respect. No talking during presentations.
Be an active, attentive listener.
Participate by asking questions. If the presenter requests that you save your questions to the end, respect their wishes. Raise your hand at the end of the presentation if you have questions.
Give detailed, written feedback on the presentation.
Be fair but consistent in your evaluation.
